San Andreas is a city or fictitious state belonging to the Grand Theft Auto video game series, series Rockstar Games property series. It is a territory inspired by cities on the west coast of the United States. Three versions of San Andreas appeared in the series. The first version of San Andreas appears in the first episode of the series, Grand Theft Auto (2D Universe). It represents a city located in the state of California, based on the city of San Francisco, by its neighborhoods, its railway lines and its deck similar to Golden Gate Bridge. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (3D Universe), it is now a fictitious state based on the states of California and Nevada mainly, entirely composed of islands and peninsula. The state is divided into three major cities: Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas, and in three counties: Red County, Flint County and Bone County.
